Transparency

An open/transparent government is the cornerstone of a free society. You pay for your government, and you deserve to know how it spends your money.  Use the following links and information on this page to search City check registers, track city spending and see your tax dollars at work.  Transparency is important to the City of Clute. Because transparency has various definitions, the City has utilized the checklist provided by Sunshine Review, a nonprofit organization dedicated to local government transparency, in developing this website.  Also used was the Texas Transparency initiative established by the Texas State Comptroller's Office.
