Join the winning faces of a young Department that is progressive in an ever-changing environment.<\/p>\n

Clute Police Department is seeking a new generation of applicants for Patrol Officer.<\/p>\n

Entry level patrol officer is $26.43 \/ hour or $54,974 \/ year with a 3 % increase in 6 months after completion of the Field Training Program to $27.22 \/ hour or $56,623 \/ year.<\/p>\n

Experienced officer (Patrol II), with at least 3 years previous experience starts at $28.98 \/hour or $60,278 \/ year with 3 % increase 6 months after completion of the Field Training Program to $29.85 \/ hour or $62,086 \/ year.<\/p>\n

Certification pay is based on\u00a0the\u00a0level of certification and starts at $500.00 \/ year to $1,800 \/ year.<\/p>\n

All new uniforms, duty weapons, and leather gear is provided to all officers.\u00a0 We also offer paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, free\u00a0health,\u00a0and dental insurance for the employee and a TMRS retirement plan at a 2 to 1 match at 7%.<\/p>\n

Clute Police Department offers many training opportunities. It\u00a0is a promise from Chief Fitch that all officers at Clute Police Department continue their education as he ensures they obtain\u00a0an\u00a0Intermediate TCOLE license.\u00a0Chief Fitch is committed to providing only the best for the officers and citizens as we strive to become a \u201cPremier Department\u201d.<\/p>\n

Applicants must be 21 years of age and be TCOLE certified or currently enrolled in a law enforcement academy. \u00a0Applicants must possess a valid driver\u2019s license with a clean driving record.\u00a0 Must be able to work shift work, weekends, and holidays. \u00a0A high school diploma or GED is required.\u00a0 Must pass extensive background investigation, written test, physical agility test, and oral review boards. \u00a0Hiring process will include psychological testing, physical\u00a0exam,\u00a0and drug screen.<\/p>\n
