{"id":1042,"date":"2023-07-12T13:52:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T13:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bweb3.com\/clute\/?page_id=1042"},"modified":"2025-02-28T14:38:30","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T20:38:30","slug":"employee-benefits","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/clutetexas.gov\/new\/city-departments\/human-resources\/employee-benefits\/","title":{"rendered":"Employee Benefits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The following is a listing of employee benefits and detailed descriptions of each:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>VACATION PAY &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0All eligible personnel accrue vacation credits according to the following schedule.<\/p>\n<p><b>SICK LEAVE &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0All eligible employees earn paid sick leave at a rate of ten (10) hours per month or one hundred twenty (120) hours per year.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><b>HOLIDAYS &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0All eligible employees are entitled to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/clutetexas.gov\/new\/city-info\/city-holidays\/\">holidays<\/a>\u00a0designated by the City Council each year.<\/p>\n<p><b>BEREAVEMENT LEAVE \u2013<\/b>\u00a0The City of Clute grants a maximum of five(5) days paid leave to regular full-time employees in case of death of immediate family members.\u00a0Uses of this leave may include making funeral arrangements and attending funeral services including travel time.<\/p>\n<p><b>TEXAS<\/b><b>\u00a0MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0All full-time employees will be enrolled as a member of the Texas Municipal Retirement System.\u00a0Members will deposit by payroll deduction, seven percent (7%) of their gross salary.\u00a0The City currently matches the employee deposit 2 to 1.<\/p>\n<p><b>SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0All employees will make deductions, by payroll, to the Social Security system.<\/p>\n<p><b>GROUP HEALTH &amp; LIFE INSURANCE &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0All eligible employees are covered by a group health and life insurance program.<\/p>\n<p><b>GROUP DENTAL INSURANCE &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0All eligible employees are covered by a dental insurance program.\u00a0The premiums for this program are paid by the City.<\/p>\n<p><b>UNIFORM ALLOWANCE &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0At the will of the City, and if financially feasible, the City furnishes uniforms or provide allowances for employees who must wear uniforms in the performance of their duties.<\/p>\n<p><b>LONGEVITY PAY &#8211;<\/b>The City of Clute provides longevity pay to all eligible employees in recognition of the value of long term service with the City.<\/p>\n<p><b>SECTION 125 FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT &#8211;<\/b>\u00a0The City of Clute is currently offering pre-tax dependent care expense accounts and pre-tax unreimbursed health care expense accounts.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><span class=\"Subhead1\">Disclaimer<\/span><\/strong>:<br \/>\n<em>This is provided as general information and does not replace any benefits or procedures as outlined in the City of Clute Personnel Policy Handbook or in any other applicable administrative policies or procedures. These employee benefits are subject to change without notice by the employer.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current Full-Time Employees<\/strong><br \/>\nEffective January of 2025.\u00a0 The IRS no longer requires that the Form 1095-C be distributed to employees.\u00a0 The 1095-C Form is the form that states that you were covered under the city&#8217;s medical insurance.\u00a0 This is a notice of availability and your right to request the Form 1095-C anytime between March 3, 2025 through October 15, 2025.
