Building Permits

Building Permits are required for most types of construction within the City.  Before commencing with any work, check with the Building Department to see if a permit is required.

New Residential

Appropriate applications need to be filled out properly and completely including Name and address of owner.
If it is new property; we also need the Lot & Block Number, the Name(s) of contractor(s) for building, plumbing and electrical work.  Plumbing and electric outlets. Size of water meter, if other than 3/4 inch.

New Commercial

Appropriate applications need to be filled out properly and completely including Name and address of owner.
If it is new property; we also need the Lot & Block Number, the Name(s) of contractor(s) for building, plumbing and electrical work.
